For the “Load and Shift Pass,” you want to make sure you are using your legs by loading your weight on your back leg as you pull the puck back, and then transferring your weight to the front leg as you sweep the pass away. Also, you must ensure that you face your toe perpendicular to the direction that you are passing.  Since the “Load and Shift Pass” has a similar start to the “Load and Shift Shot,”it is very effective and deceptive when either loading up for a shot and then changing to a pass or, alternatively, loading up for a pass, but then actually shooting when defenders are not expecting it.
