The “Saucer Pass” is an important skill that is required when you have to elevate the puck over a defender’s stick, or body. When the saucer pass is done correctly, it lands flat so that your teammate can immediately shoot, pass, or stickhandle it without having to settle it down. When practicing the “Saucer Pass,” be sure to start the puck on your heel, and spin it off the toe with an open blade. With a little practice, you will be able to make the puck spin in a perfect “Saucer”, and also control how high and how far it travels!
