The “Spin Pass” is a skill that is far more common in high levels of hockey than many people realize. Spin passes allow a player to make a pass directly behind them, and with considerable power! When executing the spin pass, make sure to shoulder check before you arrive at the puck, and then to turn your head and shoulders as you are gathering the puck, which allows you to see your target before you release the puck, making sure that the pass is not a “blind pass”.
